That’s true.

One of the stories Garner told was being approached by a group of Republicans to run for office - as a Republican. He was highly insulted. But it tells me why we have so many troubles with R’s in office. How many are really just D’s who were willing to change party affiliation just to get in there?

True. Though it is interesting that Republicans would ask Garner to run for office. I can’t imagine any Republicans asking the likes of Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, etc., to run as a Republican for office. From most of the roles I’ve seen Garner in, the average viewer wouldn’t have any idea about his offscreen political views one way or another if he didn’t know already. And that’s how it should be IMHO. To paraphrase Laura Ingraham concerning movie stars and their views on the world, “shut up and act.”
