Bill Maher opened up the panel discussion on his show tonight talking about recent developments on gun control in the Senate.
He lamented how liberals have basically conceded the gun argument to the center-right, saying that liberals to a certain degree also indulge in the “fetishization” of guns, and declaring that someone on the left needs to stand up and say that the “Second Amendment is b—s—.” …

they were armed with the most modern firearms at’the time, same as the british soldiers. that’s the point of the second amendment, citizens can be armed at the same level as government. the second amendment is why cops and military can have weapons, their powers are derived from the people and the states.

I agree. At least he is more honest with his intentions than Obama, who makes passing comments that he supports the 2nd Ammendment while then doing everything he possibly can to infringe that right.

I would find it refreshing if liberals would be more honest about their intentions. Admit that they think we should get rid of the 2nd Amendment. Admit that they think we should get rid of the constitution for that matter. And admit that they hate America, for the love of Pete.
The first amendment is meaningless if a mob can come over and burn your house with impunity over something you wrote.

These people are quite obnoxious because they feel protected by the state and don’t care if the ordinary person is left defenseless against criminals, foreign invaders, and domestic tyrants.
The First Amendment, as well as the rest of the Bill of Rights, is a glorious achievement in the political history of man. However, the Bill of Rights mean nothing without the teeth of 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment ensures that the common citizen can defend himself against anyone threatening all of his or hers other natural rights.
