The quote, “We’re surrounded. That simplifies the problem.” or variations of it, has been attributed to Marine General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller.
I take it to mean that: 1) we know where the enemy is; and, 2) no matter which way we shoot, we inflict damage on them.
Quite frankly, I’m well past the point of wanting to inflict damage on the enemy.
I was trying to remember that quote.
That’s the attitude we need.
Also I see a good saying,” We’re surrounded, the poor bastards”.
