Watching American television will quickly turn any of these women into unpleasant human beings, as many an "importer" has found out, to his sorrow. To be successful, he has to be willing to export himself, instead.

I got lucky - my wife is from Singapore, became a US citizen before I met her, has lived her nearly 30 years, and never pays the slightest attention to the female role models presented by American culture.

And though she 100% Asian, she is also one of the most forceful personalities I have ever met. She's the sharpest businesswoman in town, has never shut up in her life, and no man is ever going to slap her around and get away with it. :)

Good for her. My brother in law’s son’s wife is Asian and was already here when they met. She takes no chit. :-)
