Down here off the coast of Texas, I’ve been told that years ago when population was sparse and roads were oyster shell and sand based instead of cement/tar, blue crabs were very very large.
As they were fished and population increased they can get large but not like before.

Since when?
By this and last year’s increased crop, crabs should’ve been cheaper than before. But they weren’t!
In any case, we can take care of any dangers to the ecosystem. We’ll just eat them. It’s a dream - big MD crabs!

I thought the Deep Water Horizon oil spill was going to kill all the crabs in the world forever? Shouldn't we be trying to pump more CO2 into the water since it apparently fixed that problem so well we now have giant crabs?

It’s true! Carbon causes crabs to grow!!! As they are a carbon based lifeform the removal of all carbon causes them to die, of starvation. Every thing they eat is carbon based so for a paltry few millions of University dollars we have discovered the amazing fact that food makes crabs grow.
Now we have to figure out how to destroy all food.

The only areas where high CO2 atmospheric content can affect the oceans, are in partially enclosed shallow water areas and within mostly enclosed lagoons. Otherwise the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is statistically insignificant from the amount of CO2 within the ocean.
