RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) The Riverside County Board of Supervisors will consider a proposal Tuesday night that would make it mandatory for pit bulls to be spayed or neutered.
The policy would also include pit bull cross-breeds.
John Welsh of the countys Department of Animals Services, which was asked to write up the measure, said the proposal is intended to curb pit bull violence and roaming dogs.
The intent for the Board of Supervisors is public safety, said Welsh.
So far this year, there have been three serious pit bull attacks against people, including one where a 75-year-old woman was killed.
The ordinance will require at least two public hearings before it would be formally adopted.
As long as its also mandatory for the idiot pitbull owners who think their dog is a four legged extension of their machismo.
If they’re doing this because of roaming and violence, wonder if it could set a precedent for dealing with gangstas too
Riverside Co. Pit Bulls To Consider Supervisor Sterilization Proposal
I'm betting on the pit bulls.
Very true. Liberal idiots at work again. All the little gangbangers and wannabe’s around here get Pits (Which is a Terrier)and intentionally make them mean. Then when the dog gets in trouble, it is all put up as the dog’s fault. I know rural people here that have Pits, that are great dogs. Lots of folks around here keep them to hunt hogs with.I have a Rottweiler. He won’t bother the UPS man, or the mailman, and will only bark when someone drives up, he won’t attack unless he is told to, unless someone is trying to harm me or my wife, or trying to force their way in the house.
I would think a far better policy would be to neuter a lot of inner city.....
Works for me.
