Never considered CDB a country band. They are Southern Rock which is now what country music has become. One of th biggest producers in Nashville is Chuck Leavell for Allman Brother fame.
Yes. Charlie Daniels is southern rock. But hey - I prefer them over Alabama so I will vote. :-)
