"The Walking Dead fans who havent seen the season finale might want to turn away now. Dallas Roberts, who was introduced as Milton this season on the show opened up about some alternate versions to the scenes that aired on Sunday nights finales.
Roberts sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly and talked about how some of the scenes in which he appeared were changed quite a bit after they were first shot. Roberts character, Milton died in the season finale and after turning into a zombie killed Andrea with a vicious bite. One of the things that Roberts points to as a change on the show from what was originally shot was the way that Milton and Andrea went out. Dallas Roberts says that The Walking Deads finale was originally supposed to end for him by getting shot in the stomach, after taking the torture tools out.
The actor said he was always supposed to be mortally wounded and then left to change but that there was more to him trying to free Andrea in the original version. He also said that there was a section where he was going to wrap the chain around the neck and try to choke her to death before he turned so she wouldnt have to deal with Walker Milton.
The actor talked about the fact that some people wanted to see Milton survive. He said that he thought his character could have turned into some kind of power broker in Woodbury but that the show clearly wanted the Governor to survive.
It seems obvious that the show couldnt have both characters surviving in order to go in the direction AMC apparently wants to go with the Governor character."

How would that have made the show better????
I wanted to see him survive.
He’s the kind of guy who can think on problems and come up with real solutions.
NO I didn't want to see Milton Survive, but I also didn't want to see the Governor survive either.
I see their logic he is a great villain.
I wonder if we are going to see a Governor / Morgan encounter now that they are on the road?
I wanted Milton to live and become one of the group. I could see Herschel teaching him the basics of medicine and farming, and Milton scribbling it all down in his notebook.
Yeah. The “only the strong survive” crowd would all end up dying of typhoid or something.
LOL, yep
BTW, I read that one of the WD producers said next season will show that the group has become far too complacent about walkers. Sounds interesting....
At least Andrea got whacked. I couldn’t stand her Berkeley-Santa Cruz attitude of “I didn’t want anyone to die.” And then when she went into her monologue while Milton tells her to kill him; it was agony.
I didn’t care much for Milton or Andrea. I did like Merle and wish he’d have survived after redeeming himself.
Does anyone know - The kid that Carl shot, is his mother at the prison now?
“...reports are coming in that Chad L. Coleman and Sonequa Martin-Green have been elevated to series regulars as Tyreese and Sasha in the fourth season of The Walking Dead.
The two entered season three rather late in the game, but now that they’re on Rick’s side, yes, we’re going to be seeing a lot more of them. ....”
I was kinda hoping someone would kill that idiotic sheriff, and let the group find a leader that isn’t so irritating, but it’s not to be. At least he’s gotten over some of his Obama complex.
Thanks! I was beginning to think that Daryl would never get any pussy.
Good, I like them both.
He’s a cat person, too? He’s PERFECT!
Walking Dead ping!
Please let me know if you would like to be on or off The Walking Dead ping list.
