Why is that so hard.to understand? Like Stalin, FDR had an elite inner circle of Jewish collaborators doing terrible things, and the rest of the Jews were ignored.

Why is that so hard.to understand? Like Stalin, FDR had an elite inner circle of Jewish collaborators doing terrible things, and the rest of the Jews were ignored.

In the case of Stalin, the "rest of the Jews" were not only ignored, but persecuted, denied any opportunity for Jewish religious, cultural, or ethnic activities or institutions. In addition, for the most part, they were not permitted to emigrate or even travel outside the country. As to "the elite inner circle of Jewish collaborators," that bunch was thinned out dramatically by the purges and show trials.

Roosevelt was lionized in myth by too many American Jews ignorant of the true history of his presidency. That mythology had a great tendency to be passed on down through the generations, and is exemplified by the overly praiseworthy comments of this Oshinsky, the writer of the posted New York Slimes book review.
