Mayor Michael Bloomberg has long campaigned for the fashion industry through organizations like Fashions Night Out and the CFDA. And now it seems as if all that fashion do-gooding has panned outits won him the cover of the eco-friendly May edition of LUomo Vogue, Italian Vogues magazine for men. For the event, the New York City mayor and C40 Climate Leadership Group president was photographed by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini in a conservative though spiffy dark suit and striped tie.
Of the casting choice, Italian Vogue editor in chief Franca Sozzani told the Financial Times: I did think it might be controversial in a sense. But I think thats good. It should get readers talking. Reichsfuhrer Bloomberg needs to stop wasting his billions. Slick Willie’s wife is batting next. The state controlled national “media” has already kicked off their campaign for her.
No, no, no.
We want him to run for POTUS in 16 as an indy.
He could be our Perot.
We just have to keep feeding his ego.
Or he could win. He has TWENTY EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS to spend. Ever think of that?
Zero chance of him winning.
But he would definitely split the Dem/statist/progressive vote.
We could pull off a Clintonian plurality win.
Every president since at least McKinley has been wealthy and many before were too. The seventh richest man in the world is many levels above a run-of-the-mill millionaire. Do you really want to risk having that guy run the country?
It’s our only hope.
There’s no way given the demographic tides that we can win a 2-way for POTUS.
It’s likely a moot point anyway because I expect Hillary! to be the D candidate, and the Clintons are way tight with Bloomie. No way he’d torpedo them.
