The rest on the worst party school list:

7. BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY, Provo, Utah
8. CUNY BROOKLYN COLLEGE, Brooklyn, N.Y.
9. WESLEYAN COLLEGE, Macon, Ga.
10. UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY AT WEST POINT, West Point, N.Y.

Mad City not on the list? I am shocked.
Went to my wife’s college reunion (a staunch Lutheran school of long-standing) a while back - they put us up in the unused dorm suites (the school was empty for summer recess).
We had a six-pack of beer in a cooler in the common area. Saturday we got a notice on our door that no beer was allowed. We figured it was some kind of formality. On Sunday we got a RED notice on our door warning we’d be evicted if we didn’t get rid of the beer.
Sheesh! We were probably 3 times older than the RA.
The older I get, the more ridiculous college seems. Bring back apprenticeships. And plain old hard work.
When I went to GA Southern in the ‘80s, it often made the list of ‘best party schools’. I’m happy to have contributed to that statistic.
Many colleges take very seriously their mission of destroying any and all notions of morality that the students got from their parents or religious institution. Best way to do it is to make sure the alchohol flows freely and to give out free condoms.
The author is a sick jerk who disappointed that there are kids out there who are not debauched.
After my four years in the Marine Corps I finished college at Ohio University. That was in the early ‘80s.
Even back then it had a reputation as a party school, which irritated university officials to no end. They announced their commitment to changing O.U’s image from Blutarsky State to ... drum roll please ... the “Harvard on the Hocking.”
Apparently they didn’t succeed.
