The 12 WORST party schools in the country

It seems as though it's the crazy party schools get all the attention these days. But what about the many tame and civilized schools out there which remain completely under the radar with absolutely no stories of late-night shenanigans or poor-decision making? Well, they stay under the radar until they repeatedly get put on lists of the colleges with the worst party scenes in the country, like this one. Below, see what real students on College Prowler had to say about their schools' nightlife:

1. GROVE CITY COLLEGE, Grove City, Penn.

Despite a zero tolerance for alcohol policy and the fact that students of the opposite sex are only allowed to visit rooms during designated weekend hours, many students love campus life at Grove City: "Pizza parties and ice cream socials offer a good excuse to leave the books behind." Others are less optimistic: "No fun to be found anywhere."

2. LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, Lynchburg, Va.

Responses to questions about Liberty's night life range from serious to serious. "Liberty doesn't need a nightlife! If you want to have fun you can go play video games in a friend's dorm room. But let's face it, college is for school work. You should probably be studying instead of partying," said one student. Another said, "We are here to get an education and obey the Liberty Way."

3. INDIANA UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST, Gary, Ind.

"Night life is great! Alcohol isn't served so all students are able to attend all functions," said one happy student on College Prowler, giving a nice positive spin on the subject. Other students were more pragmatic about the nightlife scene in Gary: "It's Gary, Indiana."

You'll find my alma mater (UCSB) at the top of the other list.

If a parent is paying for college, this is the list I would limit my kid to. Otherwise, why do you need to attend college to get drunk/stoned, get wild and stupid, and have sex? That can happen anywhere and for a lot cheaper.

I had a chance to visit Sewanee and was startled to find it called the School of the South. What a bad representation of all the worst in the “Bible Belt”.

Outside of every dorm room were bottle after bottle of hard liquor, all of it the most expensive brands. Sex flowed free and easy and it wasn’t unusual to have sex multiple times with multiple people over a weekend, all the while never having to put on clothes.

Who are the parents paying for Caligula’s Retreat?

Valparaiso University used to have the highest per-student beer consumption in the country. *burp*

Well, it is called “University of the South”.
Were you speeding through on a bus, or what?
What were you doing outside of every dorm room when
you do not even know the name of the school?
Me thinks thou doth protest too much.
If you do not like that, so be it.
Perhaps you can give us a list of Universities that you consider to be superior, and why.
