In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
palimpsest (PAL-imp-sest) noun
1. A writing surface such as a parchment that has been reused after partially or completely erasing the original text.
2. Something reused but still showing traces of its earlier form.

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

xshub and xsboy are going to Atlanta to see SU in the final four. it’s been 10 years since they’ve been in, and xsboy is now 21 yo, instead of 11 and i have a feeling their experience will be a lot diff than the last time we all went. Hopefully the result will be the same. Though honestly, for xshub, nothing can beat the feeling he had of watching them cut down Georgetown’s nets at the Verizon Center, after Gtown flamed out in the first round to Fl Gulf Coast.xsboy is driving home tonight after his last class, so as to be here for the flight to Atlanta tomorrow. They’ve been invited to stay with a colleague of xshub’s, who is a Georgia law prof, which will save them the $700 a hotel was going to cost.
