I like that-the colors don’t go with the area I live in, but there are plenty of Sunflowers here, both naturally, and because I throw the seeds around all the time...

We've been smiling all day. And what a lovely letter we (campaign workers) got from both the Mayor and the Mayor's wife today at the crack of dawn! Classy lady! Quoting:

Dear friends,

What a morning! Our new mayor is already at city hall, and will be contacting you as soon as he is back. (Don't worry, he is still "RESPONSIVE" and "ACCESSIBLE" and "WILL LISTEN TO YOU")

We talked until the wee hours of the morning, long after the celebration, and our conversations were all about you. As Dan keeps saying, this was a victory of the heart. All of yours.

He is a humble guy, and as he was being interviewed by several this morning, his words are all about YOU, his team. You put so much time and energy and money in to this campaign, into your belief that Mequon's future is now in Dan's capable hands. It certainly gives me a sense of peace. I have believed in him since day one. I know he will do a fine job.

This victory belongs you. Let's keep it rolling. He still needs you.
