By the way, for those single guys who are mystified and annoyed by the residue from badly peeled labels and such, they should know that your trick with WD-40, or a label removing product that costs 3 dollars and lasts forever, will change their life.

While duct tape has its uses, there is something else that has great versitility...the various construction adhesives, such as Liquid Nails and competitive products. This family of products will work wonders in patching, sealing, and bonding. Water storage containers can be sealed permanently with these. Some allow wet, treated lumber to be bonded. And they are cost effective for repairs/projects that need to last.

Pulled into a greasy spoon diner for breakfast in Virginia. Porsche G3, easily a $300K car, parked next to us. Gotta love it!

Have you noticed how many glass bottle/jarred foods have a rubber ring inside the metal lid? ... Yes, they do reseal once cleaned properly and ‘cooked’ in a pressure cooker or canner. I have a few jars of something my son brewed up last Christmas that still have the ‘dimple’ in the lid from sealing. Opened one a week ago and it was just like the day it was canned up.

Oh gosh no....fell through entirely! The landlord finally got the woman out of the rental property but not til Jan. .....so I scraped the idea altogether. It’s still empty but he’s going to remodel it or connect it to his current business. He’ll let me know which way it goes once he decides, but I’m not holding my breath on it.
At any rate...am still here in my cozy place...and that’s just fine for now. Thanks for asking though. Trust you are well and cats too?

BTW, have you tried the fast drying JB Weld yet? Wow, that is some amazing epoxy. I coated a screw with high temp bearing grease then filled a hole witht he JB Weld and stuck the scre into the glue mass. In an hour I screwed the screw right out leaving a nice thread pattern for reuse.
