Some time back there was a thread that had to do with Turkey and one of the posters claimed that if you got away from the major tourist sites and went into small out-of-the-way places, the people hated Westerners (as if it might be risky to visit such places).
I've never been to Turkey although there are a number of places I would like to visit. I've also heard people speak well of the Turks to the effect that they are friendly and welcoming to tourists.
Many reports of Christian persecution over the past decade. The types of incidents are more consistent with demon possession than simple religious fervor. Until they return to God through faith in Christ, they will foster more evil.
