In both cases, the couples were picked up in areas considered fairly safe. In Rio, which will host the World Cup next year and the Olympics in 2016, the couple boarded the bus at midnight on Saturday in the city’s Copacabana tourist area. In the Delhi case, the couple boarded the bus not far from one of the city’s diplomatic residential areas.
