I have a couple pairs of cargo-pocket shorts that would fit your boy, but seriously doubt they'd get from PA to MN in time to be packed for this weekend.

Send a FReepmail if you'd like them for another time .. they're obviously not BSA at my age (khaki & dark green).
I was a scout for a long time and will always be grateful it.

Will also echo what others have said re that list being waaaay too long for a weekend trip .. that's maybe some perfect someone's idea of the full Monty for a trip to Philmont.

Lots of good suggestions in here, esp re getting touch with the regional BSA office re the 'list' being bandied about as 'mandatory'.
They'd probably appreciate knowing if some local 'mama' is keeping boys away with made-up 'rules'.

They'd probably appreciate knowing if some local 'mama' is keeping boys away with made-up 'rules'. So the "bossy woman" aka local 'mama' is now keeping away boys with made up rules??? The OP started a thread with a very detailed list of stuff she wants donated to her son because she is not wealthy and disabled and now we have decided that that a woman who obviously has spent a lot of energy and time with a troop is the one to be excoriated because she is has a standard for parents to shoot for. What happened to the idea of taking care of your own family and if you can't afford something...just wait until you can?
