Whether or not Cersei regrets putting Joffrey on the throne is a question that I am unable to answer at this point.
Attempting to do so requires that I discuss an event that has not yet occurred in the series, so I do not want to do that at this time.
I have my suspicions on that matter, but by the end of book 5, I have no actual evidence on that possibility.
With regard to the Hound, I will just say that somehow Sandor Clegane went from being a despicable villain to one my favorite non-point of view characters in the book.
As far as the casting goes, it is just magnificent.
Some of the roles are perfectly cast.
Tyrion, Tywin, Arya, Drogo, Ned, Varys, Jon Snow, Samwell, Lord Commander Mormont, Daenerys are all just perfection.
I’m sure there’s more that I have failed to mention, but those really stand out to me.
My favorite character in the books and the series is Arya Stark.
I disliked Cersei intensely from the start, which is understandable since the character is written to be intensely dislikeable. I fell head over heels for Lena Headly as an actress after season 2 episode 9 “Blackwater,” though. Wow, instant classic. The whole episode is itself the single coolest thing I’ve ever seen that was made for tv. The building sense of dread, the gloom, the horror of the siege. It was worth watching again despite the gore, and I did.
