Maybe the courts should do more to help honest citizens protect themselves against fraud.

I have seen case after case of credit card fraud where the victim could do little or nothing. The courts have provided numerous protections to hackers and perpetrators of fraud.

The honest citizen is at their mercy.

It isn’t the courts jobs to help you fight identity theft. It is police, prosecutors and the legislature. But you are right that it is a big problem, and victims have little help or recourse.

I would have no problem with live streamed executions of proven identity thieves.

Hmmm. do you mean ID theft?

My CC companies have always caught any suspected credit card fraud and not held me accountable for anything. Card closed, new card issued.

Unless you are talking about debit cards directly linked to a main checking account.
