Where are all of the wild critters? Wouldn’t the zombies be a free lunch for all of the bears, coyotes, wolves, buzzards,..etc.?

And wouldn’t they freeze in the winter?

The Walkers can’t catch the critters. They’re too slow and noisey....and smelly, LOL. The critters hear and smell them from a long way off. The critters want fresh meat.

Remember the Walkers in the pit were still alive after being burned? They’re tough and probably don’t feel the cold.

(Surprisingly) unsstressed in the series, but well-explored in the game(s), is that the zombies smell exactly like well-decayed corpses.

No animal would ever touch a decaying corpse.

One assumes that insects love the zombies though, because insects -- flies, ants, whatever, strip a body no matter how decayed.

IT'S A TV SHOW MEANT FOR ENTERTAINMENT. NOT A DOCUMENTARY MEANT FOR EDUCATION!

They're in Georgia, do they have bears and wolves there?

As for the freezing, I don't think there's ever been any evidence that suggests zombies are susceptible to freezing weather......Are there any prolonged freezes in Georgia?

As a side note, this series is about a group of survivors down south who have had no contact with the rest of the world. So we don't know how or if zombies in the northern states have been able to survive the more severe winters.......but keep in mind, people dress much warmer up there.

Zombies are reanimated decaying flesh. The wild critters might eat recent kills but nothing that is decaying, it is toxic. Given how quickly we have seen the re animations occur i am betting the wild critters wouldn't go after that either.

And wouldn’t they freeze in the winter?

Yes if the temperature drops below a certain point they will freeze, but when a thaw occurs they will come back. Also keep in mind that they are somewhere in Georgia so the Zombies might not freeze just slow down a bit.

“And wouldn’t they freeze in the winter?”

Yes, and then they thaw out and are fine, at least in the graphic novels.

Seems winter would be the time to get things done.

The neat thing abt this show, just like a novel or a movie, is that it’s
Make Believe....so contorting to make it fit reality ruins the fun...just sayin’.
