"The Walking Dead" Season 3
Episode 16: "Welcome to the Tombs"
11 new promo pics at the link. Not very spoiler-y.
Zombies are reanimated decaying flesh. The wild critters might eat recent kills but nothing that is decaying, it is toxic. Given how quickly we have seen the re animations occur i am betting the wild critters wouldn't go after that either.
And wouldnt they freeze in the winter?
Yes if the temperature drops below a certain point they will freeze, but when a thaw occurs they will come back. Also keep in mind that they are somewhere in Georgia so the Zombies might not freeze just slow down a bit.
“And wouldnt they freeze in the winter?”
Yes, and then they thaw out and are fine, at least in the graphic novels.
Seems winter would be the time to get things done.
She looks very much like the Overly Attached Girlfriend.
Winter sounds like the perfect time to send Michonne out to do her thing (lopping off walker heads)!
I am with you on this one. I, too, said, "aw, Merle". Then, I had to stop myself because I realized that I didn't like that character.
He redeemed himself to me (and I think others) in this one episode. And, I think that can only be done with a fine job by the actor who plays the character, Michael Rooker. Good job. Poor Daryl.
LOL!!!
lol...”Yeah, so I was looking through your texts while you were sleeping and WHO THE HELL IS ‘MOM’??!!?”
Yeah, they're all idiots. I agree. And the non-decaying zombies that manage to stay in one piece seemingly forever and pop up out of nowhere, its absurd. Sure.
Now, me, if I were in the zombie apocalypse, I'd already have laid claim to Yosemite National Park and scrubbed it clean of all zombies. I'd be living at the Ahwahnee Lodge surrounded by scandalously-overpowered military ordnance that I'd have collected at Ft. Irwin National Training Center and trucked up the I-395N on a HEMTT to my stockpile at the lodge. Oh dear God, what weaponry they've got stockpiled at Ft. Irwin. I'd be making trip after trip.
Once I blocked off all entrances to the park, any interlopers with fancy ideas about taking Yosemite Park away from me using their crossbows and small arms looted from Big5 Sporting Goods are going to get a Javelin ATGM dropped right on top of their little convoy of Hyundais and Chevy trucks from 4000 meters away. And that's just the first signal that they'd get that they're unwelcome.
I could spend the rest of my life fishing and grilling Antelope and catching up on my reading.
But Rick's little band in the show took over a prison? Dumb. If they're in Georgia, they need to snag a big yacht and take it 700 nautical miles W-NW to Bermuda.
Those images of Carl holding the badge make me wonder....hmmm...
Now that you mentioned it.........
Naw, Rick lives. Maybe.
Yeppers
This show really has a knack for manipulating emotions. Just a few weeks ago I wanted Merle dead, LOL.
Daryl broke my heart. Both Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker killed it.
Photo 5: Tyrese (sp?) and his woman have their hands behind their backs. Tied up? Handcuffs? Hmmmmmm.
Photo 9: Carl holding his Dad’s badge. Not a good sign for Rick...
They tried to get to Ft. Benning, but they gave up the idea after hearing that it had been taken over by "lame brains."
Assuming other people had the same idea -- go to where the weapons are -- that may not be the best alternative, especially if you're not the first ones on the scene.
But Rick's little band in the show took over a prison? Dumb. If they're in Georgia, they need to snag a big yacht and take it 700 nautical miles W-NW to Bermuda.
That would be a different show. Gilligan's Island?
You just might be able to find a boat along the coast to get to an island. But the problem with big yachts may be similar to the problem with arsenals: other people probably are already there by the time you get there, and a lot of them have probably been killed or turned into walkers.
The Atlanta scenes early on spooked them, and they decided to stay away from big cities at all costs, but I guess they could have fought their way through a small town onto a boat with the weapons they had.
If something like this happens a few survivors might be smart enough and lucky enough to get everything they need. But that's not going to be much of a television show. To have a show, you're probably going to focus on those in the middle who aren't extremely smart or stupid, lucky or unlucky, but just trying to stay alive with what they have.
Cath, what did he say...?
Rush? He said the WD is the most popular show on TV, and he compared its ratings to that of network news programs.
Can’t it just go away so AMC can start playing movies again so when there is nothing on TCM I have a back-up. Stupidest show ever.
The neat thing abt this show, just like a novel or a movie, is that it’s
Make Believe....so contorting to make it fit reality ruins the fun...just sayin’.
Tyreese's right arm seems to be hanging normally - it doesn't appear to be tied up. His sister's arms I think are just out of view of the camera. But I don't think they are tied up here.
The badge Carl is holding came off of the hat. Has something happened to Rick? Is Carl disappointed in his dad (perhaps because his dad planned to hand Michonne over to the Governor, and that's not something that a lawman would do)? Did Carl need to take it off the hat because it's shiny and might reflect light while they're trying to hide from the Governor?
I’m sorry to make you repeat what you posted earlier...
I have a bad habit of talking to the thread and not reading it totally before responding...sheesh!
