I've enjoyed each series as excellent escapism but Enterprise, for me, was by far the most realistic.

Indeed. I did not watch it at first run but watched after it was cancelled. DVR is a wonderful thing.

That series kicked arse. Better than the rest. The episode "In a Mirror, Darkly" from Season 4 was the very best Star Trek I have ever seen.
