It just drives home the point. There are requirements that must be met to get married. And they are equally applied to men and women. THAT is the criteria.
If some man wants to be with a man, CHANGE THE LAW through the legislature or make alternate arrangements for the alternative lifestyle.
I will be congratulating some of my heterosexual friends (with the pink equals profile pictures) on their civil unions as they get married this year and next. So who is you partner? Never refer to either as husband or wife. De-gender their relationship just as they seek to impersonalize all traditional marriages.
