About 20 years ago I was watching 20/20 or 60 minutes or something. They were doing a story on game wardens in some southeastern state placing a decoy buck a hundred feet or so off a highway to nab people who would stop their vehicles and shoot it.

But one couple in a somewhat jacked up 4x4 at night did them one better. They ran it down with their pickup.

I read about one of those DNR decoys. THe thing had been shot so many times that there were visible holes and chunks missing. One leg was a 2X4 nd it still was getting shot by road hunters.
