You did indeed say exactly that. You think it’s a good thing to prevent disabled people who need a feeding tube to survive, to have one.
On top of everything else, you’re a liar to boot.
I have a memory problem but not short term.
Do you have a sense of humor problem?
Don't twist my words to fit your ignorant ways of thinking!
what did your 70 have to do with Terri, uh duh I dunno it was on a Terri thread
You're puttin me on!
Discussing with you is like trying to hold onto a greased viper.
tell me, and show me an example, of how the governor of a state has the right/power to intervene in a situation such as this.....won't happen.
He could have sent in the National Guard, as governors have done on many occasions.
And post 70 was a response to post 67. So lonestar was talking about Terri Schiavo and/or my husband. There was no other target for extermination in that conversation.
The nonexistent “machines” are just an excuse. These kind of people always start with the premise that all severely disabled people should be killed. Everything else is just brought in to prop up that initial conclusion. Anyone who doesn’t agree with their flawed premise is quickly labelled an idiot. They can’t justify their position with facts, so they make up fairy tales that they think will justify the killing. They don’t fool anyone but themselves. They have no idea how transparent they are to rational people.
may God rest her soul
yeah I love it how they erroneously assume that their demonic thoughts (life wouldn’t be worth living if la de da) are everybody else’s thoughts. Terri clearly understood what was going on and clearly wanted to live. The state and her husband murdered her.
show me ONE time that a governor has called up the National Guard to intervene in a medical decision made by a husband concerning his wife....That's nonsense, Bush was powerless to stop this other than by making a personaL APPEAL TO THE HUSBAND......WHICH HE WOULD HAVE IGNORED.
oops, bumped the cap lock button!!
Powerless, hell! He could have led the troops in himself.
YEAH, RIGHT!!!
It was murder in the disguise of a medical decision. In Nazi Germany, medicial decisions murdered thousands of disabled people.
That's it in a nutshell.
don't get me wrong, I thought that the situation was a human disaster....however, people make life and death decisions for other people every day and the governor of the state does not intervene....he can't.
I realize that this was a special situation....not unique by any means, but certainly unusual.
her own family, parents, tried to save her and were helpless to do so....I cannot see how the governor had ANY authority to intervene......would you like him to make a decision concerning your life....or death????.....not me, I'd rather count on my spouse to do so.....even though in this case, I thuink he erred seriously....very seriously.
Well stated!
Normally it should be the spouse. In this case I believe Michael had two reasons to want Terri dead; I think there was more money left than they would ever admit, and I think his fiancé wanted to marry.
It seems to me at some point it should have been obvious that her husband was not acting in her best interest and someone else needed to be appointed to make her decisions.
This is indeed an example of why one should be so careful about the character of the person they marry. It literally can be a life and/or death decision.
People were just followink orders... helpless to save the innocent...happens many times throughout history, when immoral and craven people are in positions of power and do nothing to save lives of the innocent. An old story.
