They are supposedly filming the next season right now and the Governor is still around. I don’t have any links to confirm that. I just heard it on a college football message board.

Yeh, prolly so, another way to drag out the series. Somebody critical needs to die. But it just cannot be the gov for the drama to continue. It has to be someone else.

Milton doesn't seem to be a very good scientist, so I doubt it. However, he is a good listener. Herschel told Milton about how he was bitten and how they cut off his leg. Maybe something there?
To answer your question, no. When he was studying the old dude dying from cancer he asked Andrea to assist him. Andrea tried to tell what happens but he didn’t believe her. He nearly got himself bit until Andrea capped his dead ass.
He was trying to determine if they had any sense of the their past life before crossing over. He had been conditioning the old dude to music and checking his responses. When the old fart died he played the same music but all the guy wanted to was eat flesh.
Right. The only “partial cure” that we’ve seen is cutting off Herschel’s leg.
