I know that should something happens God will meet my need. But we are suppose to wise use and save our money. What would you do about 401k’s? Where is the safe place to invest? Gold, silver???

Linda,
I’m no expert, but my conclusion is there is not just one answer to “where is the safest place...” kind of question.
For my family, we decided the answer for us is:

Multiple jurisdictions
Multiple currencies
Muliple banks, here and there also
Gold here and there also
Starting to shop for farmland

And of course, you have to prepare to have your needs for food, safety, shelter, etc.

It is a tall order. Not much of our personal experience has prepared us for this.

You still may have some time. Or it may turn out to run for a couple years before if fails. Use them wisely.

Gold, silver and platinum. Buy all you can - hide carefully.

Linda, here's a link to a prior FR post regarding purchase of precious metals.

I'm rolling my retirement into a 'self administered gold IRA' - but that may not help so much - the current greedy leftist government (national and world) can all too easily take most of our wealth away from us.
