I am one of the many people who thinks her stories are bunkum, and were a desperate attempt to try and gain a ‘clean’ public image when the days of ‘porno chic’ died and there was a reaction against porn.
There is no evidence that she was forced, and only very minor evidence that domestically she was hit by her husband. Other stories of her like having on camera sex with a dog, well to this day not one ‘stag reel’ or photo of that has ever surfaced, nor can journalists or porn historians find anyone who took part in the supposed production.
Her story has been well researched by several mainstream and non-mainstream writers and historians, from Legs McNeill to academics.
Lovelace saw the porn backlash coming and she went public with these allegations, and lo and behold, the feminists and antiporn right never questioned her stories and made her a hero. Thats my frank opinion. Her stories were pure fiction made up to make herself a victim forced to do all the terrible things that made her fame when that fame began to attract a backlash.
