CRY provides medical information on the most common causes of unexpected sudden cardiac death in the young (aged 35 and under). These conditions include thickening or abnormal structure of the heart muscle and irregularities of the electrical impulses that upset the natural rhythm of the heart.”

But two at once sounds pretty ridiculous.

I think what they mean is, if they were conscious, they probably were “scared to death” before they were hit by the train. I imagine they would only mention that if they knew it was a common occurrence for people that got hit by trains.
