Just wondering...
Since no politician is perfect, how about you ask yourself this question: Was America better off under a Bush presidency than under the current Obama presidency?
Funny, no one has taken the time to comment on your posting. Strange--well, maybe not so strange, doesn't seem to fit the format.
Of course, there were benefits to Bush losing in 92, such as the Republican Congress in 94. That would probably not have happened if a Republican other than Bush had won in 88 and again in 92. It took a disastrous Democrat President, coupled with a voting populace that had been won over by the conservative principles of Reagan, to sweep out the Democrats when they overreached. Even a popular Republican might not have been the impetus for that to happen, and a lot of good things in the 90s resulted from the Republican Congress. A lot of bad things resulted from Clinton, so it is a conundrum of "what ifs". Best we can say is that Bushes are disasters.
We didn't have 8 years of Algore.
Our enemies know that if they $#%K with us, we’ll kill a few and then shower them with free stuff.
Did you forget Clarence Thomas? And yes, John Roberts? (although I realize he’s in the dog house right now, for good reason!) How about Janice Rogers Brown and Priscilla Owens? John Ashcroft, Mr. Cheney, and many more? The veto on partial birth abortion? The assault weapons ban lifted? The funding for embyronic stem cells taken off?
Got us out of the International Criminal Court, didn’t sign Kyoto agreement, and still more! You know, there are lots of things to give them positive credit for, if people will look! Yeah, and I realize no leader is perfect, there’s room for valid, honest criticism. However, I believe they were/are solid American people with their hearts in the right place!
That’s a good question. To be worth electing, the next conservative should not merely mark time until the next lurch toward socialism. The next conservative president should repeal ObamaCare, cut real spending (not the projected growth rate of spending) in areas that are the proper role of the federal government, completely eliminate at least some of the government activities that are not within the proper role of government, and otherwise move the line back toward freedom and away from crony capitalism or the very similar national socialism.
And we didn’t get illegals until 41 and 43 got elected? Come on! That started long before even Ronald Reagan got in, continued under B. Clinton, and is even worse now under Obama! The Mexico City policy was put back into place under 43 where it was before Clinton was installed, then taken off again by Obama! Have some of you Bush-bashers forgotten that so soon? I also think you must’ve forgotten about how the unemployment rate was down to about 4 or 5 percent before the left-wing Dems. took over in 2006? Where is it now, about 9 percent?
Oh they refuted the Foley lies...does that mean people wanted to listen? No even conservatives were bashing the entire house for one idiotic Florida rep. So we got pelosi because of the “outrage” conservatives felt. The only outrage was that the San Francisco liberals duped the right in October while laughing all the way.
What I mean is things are going comparatively well in Eastern Europe and the former.
Also, some of the festering conflicts around the world were resolved after the Cold War ended.
It may just have been a matter of getting out of the way, but things could have turned out far, far worse.
The first thing I can come up with is an immediate and positive response to 9/11.......And if I'm not mistaken, 90% of our government and citizens were in approval..
He brought dignity back to the White House after the Clinton blow job scandals....
He never apologized to the world for our country's actions both past and present.
He recognized who our allies are and staunchly defended them........Need I mention Israel?
His administration was not responsible for the collapse of Fannie Mae or Freddie, that was Barney Frank and his buddies fiasco....
Sorry bro, while the Bush administration had it's faults, so did every Republican in the past, including Reagan.........
Bush is gone bro, get over it..........
Now that you have your Obama, you missing Bush yet?
Sorry but that wasn't part of the U.N. directive..........
Sure. Perot did want to see Bush defeated for whatever crazy reason of his own.
But "Clinton operative" makes it sound like he was taking orders from somebody.
Not likely to me. Ross did it on his own -- a truly unguided missile.

Hmmm....
8 years of a sexual predator and 8 years of Marxism...
Oh to long for the days of Bill Clinton!!
That’s my belief as well. I think he got into it to win, the Clintonistas got to him about something and he dropped out, and then when Clinton needed him at the end, he came back in. Something didn’t quite add up.
Good additions, thanks.
A little qualification regarding Israel. Although compared to the Dems he was a staunch ally of Israel, if you followed it closely, the State Dept- his State Dept- was arm twisting behind the scenes to force Israel to make all kinds of concessions to the murdering Arabs.
IMO, the Bush administration's backing of Israel was mediocre and only looks better than mediocre in comparison to the current batch of anti Semites in the White House.
Also IMO, that same reasoning applies in large part to the whole 8 years of W. Without relying on a comparison to the Dems, mediocre at best. And sorely lacking in many areas.
