Wonder if they will try this next with the thylacine. (Unless of course it’s not actually extinct.)

The last one known for sure died in the 1930s, in captivity, but there have been intermittent reports ever since, including one in the 1980s (if memory serves) where a thylacine walked right into to a man’s camp, at night, and was fully illuminated by the campfire.
