That was a good movie.
I never thought Maureen O’Hara was all that beautiful but there was something about her I really liked.

Tradition in our household...Smithwicks, Bushmills, potato chips and The Quiet Man with a possible viewing of Waking Ned Devine. Being Scots/Irish isn’t so bad. :-)

Maureen O’Hara not all that beautiful!?! Saints preserve us! Ah, would ye be after tellin’ me boyo, is there somethin’ wrong with yer eyes now?

Her film with John Wayne Rio Bravo...she is breathtakingly beautiful. Her first film was Hitchcocks. Jamaica Inn. 19 when she made that film.

The Quiet Man is near the top of my all-time favorite movies list. It is the shame that the film quality is not what it could be.

Never cared for the Duke's abusive handling of the female protagonist.

I guess it has something to do with red hair. I have never liked red hair although it runs heavily in my family.
I still remember when our first baby was born. The nurse brought me in and the first thing I thought was “oh no, red hair”. It eventually turned blonde thank goodness.

That wasn’t Maureen O’Hara. That was Angie Dickinson.

Indeed.
Another great John Wayne film. If someone posts it online, I'll pick it for a future MFASA.
