I tried carbonite (yes I have problems with their politics) and they have a mobile app. It automatically saves photos to your PC, as well as the cloud. Plus it gives you the ability to remote wipe your phone.

If you are on an Android phone, the Cerberus Anti Theft app is a great choice. It has a great set of features in the event your phone gets stolen or "confiscated". Even if they turn off data transfer you can still control your phone through hidden SMS communication. One small one time fee, no recurring costs and you can have up to five devices on the account.
