Richard Street, for nearly three decades a member of The Temptations, has died. He is the second former member of the fabled Motown group to pass away in two weeks; last week former Tempations tenor Damon Harris died. Both singers can be heard on the 1972 hit "Papa Was A Rolling Stone."
Street and Harris joined the band at the tail end of its heyday. Harris was only with the group for four years. Street was being treated for blood clots at Saint Rose Dominican Hospital in Las Vegas, where he died Wednesday morning. He was 70 years old.
Never heard of him.

One of the best lines ever, “Politicians say, “More taxes will solve everything”....and the band played on...”
I do not know who he was, but last time I saw the Temptations was at a Frat party at Sewanee (University of the South) 1964.
Hats off
4 years in Monteagle and you’re not a lib

While one of my brothers went there in the late 50s, I was just visiting from UT, over in Knoxville.
The big frat party weekend brought in all of the top name groups and singers of that day. Each fraternity wanted to claim the best of that era.
I knew very little of “progressives”, aka Marxist, back in those days. America was still the USA, not the new USSA.
I really do not know when the “progressive” term started being used in America.
One of the best tag line lyrics ever. “All he left us was alone”. Still great orchestration. I crank it up anytime it comes on or I stick the cd in. Now, if we could just get hussein to leave us alone.................
Condolences to family and friends of Richard Street and Damon Harris. Motown music at its finest.
He’ll be leaving us a loan in the tens of trillions of dollars that we get to pay off.
