Too much hyperbole in the headlines. I have seen spectacular comets and this isn’t one. It’s very nice, but, it’s no Comet West or Hale Bopp.

My sister was visiting in the Las Vegas, NM area and went out with friends to see the comet. She said the moon was spectacular Tuesday evening and she had never seen it as such a narrow crescent. Her friend tried to get a picture but didn't have his good camera and tripod with him. I will have to show them this photo. Thanks for the post!

Last night in crystal clear skies, I could just barely see it in 7 x 50 binoculars, on Prospect Hill Road, in Harvard, MA. There was a guy there with a Meade LX200 10”, f/10 and it was quite easy to see in a 10” telescope. The sky was exceptionally clear last night in these parts.
