Since Hitler was prepared to send Eva off to southern Germany in those final days in the Bunker, and she refused to leave his side and they got married at the very end, I think there was certainly a deep attachment. Eva lasted the longest of Hitler’s mistresses because she gave him what he wanted and did not interfere with public policy or the war effort. She kept a low profile which is exactly what Hitler wanted as he wanted to appeal to German women.

Yes but Hitler also ordered his secretaries out of Berlin but they too refused to leave and probably fully intended to commit suicide in the bunker. However, the spell they were under likely ended with the reality of Hitler's death. I wouldn't be surprised if Eva bit her poison capsule first.
