Kiss of death
President Obama and Vice President Biden receive their cheeseburger lunch orders at Rays Hell Burger in Arlington, Virginia. (CSM)
Rays Hell-Burger is closing its doors in Washington DC. The burger joint rose to prominence after Obama visited the business twice. Now theyre closed.
One of the Washington area's most iconic burger joints is apparently closed for good.
According to Washingtonian magazine, 'For Rent' signs have popped up in the windows of Ray's Hell Burger, the Arlington restaurant that has been frequented by droves of fans, including President Barack Obama.
Ray's Hell Burger owner Michael Landrum did not comment to Washingtonian, but the company that owns the building where Ray's was located said that both that space and one belonging to another restaurant of Landrum's are for lease.
Once Michelle caught wind of Barack going there, it was all over.
Did you just say that Obama was passing wind?
I thought (based on another article i read last week) there were now three locations, but two were closing/closed due to lease disputes with the property owners.
Overrun by Obungo flies?
!
Landlord got greedy and the owner decided to close it down for that reason.

My opinion is Rays Hell Burger was cruising along OK but due to the Obama visits it achieved so much notoriety (in DC area) that the landlord demanded some insane amount of rent when the lease was up. Without the Obama visits this would not have happened. The owner Ray refused to accommodate the greedy landlord. He can always open elsewhere with a better lease
Must have been what happened. The Obama visits made the landlord greedy and more cognizant how well known Ray’s was and how much business they were doing. Landlord wanted a larger cut...to become (in essence) Ray’s business partner
If 0bama (The Dog Eater) likes it, then I want absolutely no part of it!
I hope so. Those burgers are soooo good!
Should have gone to In and Out, in the first place
Oh I have, and In and Out are terrific. These are on a different plane, however.
I normally do not take God’s name in vain, but forgive me, Lord, my first bite of a Ray’s Hell Burger, I did.
Barack Obama: Hell Burgers??? These are nothing like burgers back home.
I guess the owner has learned now you can’t do business with a crook.
THAT good??? wow!

Yep Ray’s to the third across the street is still open.

So hell froze over —
Michael Landrum is a left wing wack job.
