This thread makes me hungry. Good barbecue in Southern California is about as scarce as tacos are in London, but
Burrell's, located in a Santa Ana residential neighborhood, serves great barbecue.

There are several good barbecue places in Southern California but most tend to be small ma & pa places and know to locals. Hoggs Gourmet Grill, Sweet Bob’s Bar B Que. Are near me. I don’t know if there is a connection but I have never been to a really good barbecue place that had wifi and latties.

I do not remember eating BBQ anywhere in California other than Chris & Pitts. It was OK, but we really learned what BBQ was really about when we moved to Memphis. Yum Yum!!

Actually Phillips is good, but the one in Chino closed, there are three in the L.A. area Also Joeys in Chino isn't bad, they are Texas transplants.
