I'm on an old work computer that I've used for years so I know it's not on my end, but FR seems to be running faster/smoother....Sweet!

I noticed that this morning as well.
What am I going to do with the extra 4 hours a day I used to spend waiting for the data to come up?

Server crashed a few weeks ago. This is a brand new server so it runs faster. FR was down for three days while it was being diagnosed, and the new server was being purchased, installed, and brought up to speed.

Except there has been a time period between then and now when it still slogged around as always.

It appears that FR would be a great candidate for something like vmware which would make things as close to indestructible as possible. I figure the tab on that would be about $50K-$60K for everything. Software, servers, storage, switches...

I find my time to do anything varies thruout the day.
I blame it on the volume of what is going on. Not sure what part of it gets bogged down - maybe my IT provider - they do have problems BAD.
But like early in AM and all thru the NIGHT is pretty good.
But during the day it DRAGS TERRIBLY.

FReerepublic is running!
Quitchurbitchin!
;-)
I mean, as a relatively seasoned FReeper, I’ve never seen an outage like we recently had. So count your blessings.
Who am I kidding... I’m so seasoned, I’m almost embalmed!
