“John” told the French Resistance to prepare for the coming invasion. They commited some acts of sabotage.
“Wound my heart-—” was the signal the landings would occur within 24 hours. That scene was in the cellar with the French moving out. The Germans sat playing bridge, “nothing to get that excited about”, even though they had been made aware of the message’s meaning. Great movie. Never miss it.
