On my “sweet sixteen” I attended school until 4 pm

Yeah....
On my 17th I quit School (Senior), went to join the Marines, the Gunny was out, so a Navy Chief corralled me (Hell, the French Foreign Legion would have been ok) and convinced me to wait a month to go in...

THEN, I had to go home and face my mother, who had absolutely NO idea of what I had done/was doing.
Of course, I had to be ‘nice’ to her as her signature was needed for me to go in the Navy and I wasn’t about to go back to school...

So, sorry (not) for your bad day JB.....
