The price is still pretty high and I don't have a final quote for that server yet. If I buy from them I'll get the upgraded screen.

The HP EliteBooks on eBay sell for less and are very highly rated for Linux. Tempting, when every dollar counts for a small startup like us...

We've just about got a deal with Lotus that includes a laptop and an industrial-grade web server. With a bundle discount and negotiation it's not that different pricewise from off-the-shelf Chinese stuff. (Usual disclaimer that every piece of computing equipment has some Chinese parts applies.)

If we can finalize this and like what they send us (I'm sure we will based on reviews), I expect to be able to recommend them as a viable alternative to your typically Best Buy offerings.
