So precious!!
Happy Easter Meg and Thank you for the wonderful pics today and always.
Just getting back online after a day with family.
Amen
Happy Easter to all of the wonderful posters at Amy’s Place.
Arrived home this morning at 1 am. Long drive home (900 miles) but glad to be home.
Had a great time with family members and a Beautiful Memorial Service for mrs dd’s Aunt Carol on Friday.
Drove home on Saturday and enjoyed the beautiful snow covered peaks as we traveled south through Oregon.
Rain and lightening storms greated our entry into California on Saturday evening.
Rain has fallen this evening but has stopped over the past hour. Likely the rains have cleaned the air and will present clean air for a few days.
The Easter eggs were gathered from the front yard in the late afternoon.
It has been a long tiring week but it has produced a great get-together with family members.
May Our Risen LORD bless each and every one.
Over the top!
While I was visiting my son in San Diego, we decided to go to Shadow Mountain Church to hear Dr. David Jeremiah preach. Steve and I got up early on Sunday morning and took the hour-long drive to the church. But our anticipation turned to disappointment when we discovered that Dr. Jeremiah was not there that day. Some other guya substitutewas preaching.
A couple of weeks later, I was scheduled to preach at the church in Grand Rapids where my wife and I attend. As I stood in front of the congregation, I realized that now I was some other guy and they might be disappointed because they had come to hear our pastornot mespeak.
While we find comfort in the familiarity of those we depend on in life, we have to recognize that at times they can be substituted. But the One we need mostthe One on whom we depend for life itselfis always present (Ps. 139:7-8). When we desire to enter Gods presence in prayer, He is always there: Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice (55:17).
Looking for God? Hes always right there. No substitute needed.
Read: Psalm 139:1-12

The Great Speckled Bird, by Roy Acuff,.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRbfQrKcVjg
it probably comes from the Prophet Jeremiah where he speaks of the ‘house of thy father’ as a speckled bird (Jeremiah 12:9—’Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour.’).
They long to find fault with Her teachings, they fine no mistakes. I am glad that my name is in Her Book, He, Jesus will come on the clouds to gather His chosen, and I will be glad to be caught up and carried to His home where He has promised us a Mansion, streets of gold and walls of Jasper, no strife, no illness, a body that never grows old. Where we will worship God and His Son forever. Where there will be a Marriage supper with the Lamb of God.
Thank you for the beautiful birthday greeting, Meg. I truly appreciate it. Liked the extra touches at top!! ((((HUGS))))
