Fox News host and best-selling author Bill O’Reilly on Monday disputed conservative radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh’s contention that liberals are the dominant political ideology in the United States.
“We are now in a struggle to define America,” O’Reilly said in his “Talking Points” segment of his top-rated program. “The left has powerful agents in the media and pop culture. The right is disorganized and lacks leadership.” …
The key to changing this malaise in American society is, he said, “a charismatic conservative leader” who can “fight off the media jackals.”
“That person can turn the country to the right,” O’Reilly said, “because America is inherently a place of achievement. We’ve always been that. …”

Indeed it does. People wondering how so many of histories tyrants came to power need only look around them. Nothing new under the sun. But buy can modern man come up with creative excuses denying it.
I think the words “That’ll never happen here” have been spoken by people in pretty much all conquered/ruined societies.
Look at Mass. where they have passed rules permitting 6 year olds to change gender in school, and the parents are NOT to be told. And no one marches on anything to stop it.
The disUnited States is now a socialist country. After they gut the Second Amendment, they will go after the other nine Bill of Rights. Once the Bill of Rights is removed from the Constitution, they will have their dictatorship. The nation is fast moving in that direction with their Political Correct speech and the other Washington dictates. Thank God, I only have a few years left on this earth and I still have memories of the the wonderful country that is no more.

I agree.. and the careful incrementalism the left has used to institute these changes has laid the groundwork for Americans to be softened into some sullen false ideation that somehow the country will emerge stronger. It won't, because the forces that control events want this country destroyed.
How about growing up in the 40s and 50s? Now, those were great days.
But why is that? Are we so ineffectual as parents that Conservatives cannot, from the time their children are small, teach them conservative ideals, teach about liberalism and what is wrong with it? i don’t buy this bunk about our children being corrupted by public schools. Mine haven’t been. Granted they have all gone to private schools, but that doesn’t guarantee that the teachers are conservative by any stretch. My son is at Syracuse University, walking around wearing a Don’t Tread on Me NRA tshirt. I sent it to him and he LOVED it. i said it’s going to cause a stir up there and he said I hope so! Conservatives have to stop blaming others for our plight and take the initiative and TEACH our kids what is what. My husband and i have done it and i am not sympathetic to anyone who whines about public schools. you can send your kids ANYWHERE so long as you are teaching them at home what is what.
Same here. Fox has become unwatchable. I simply cannot stand to see whatever leftist moron they have on, screaming over the conservative, insisting that Obama is a god and that we are heartless, stupid monsters. Enough. We now watch TV news selectively, local news only.
I recently posted a challenge on facebook. I asked if any high school students or recent college grads could answer the following questions:
1) Can you quote Nathan Hale?
2)Give the location and signifance of the Old North Church.
3) Give the location and signifance of Lexington and Concord.
I was not even surprised at the number of people that could not answer these simple questions about our history. Even my 50 year old daughter with a masters degree and a CPA and my 22 year old granddaughter with 2 degrees and is a conservative could not answer those questions.
A seventh grade teacher from Arizona replied that she could answer the questions but she is required by the state to teach U.S. history beginning with the civil war and ending with the great depression. I don't know if every state has the same requirements.
It finally dawned on me why they teach U.S. history that way.
The evil white slaveowners were defeated and the evil white capitalists caused the great depression. Therefore the thing that is bad about America is the evil white man.
Wow. A generation of young adults running around embracing socialism, the sodomite agenda, global warming...where did they pick that up? Their parents? Where did they learn to despise Christianity? Why is the current generation so ignorant of history? Why can't they even spell? They can't make change without a calculator. You take YOUR example of success and hold it up as a standard for all else? I agree you CAN send your kids anywhere but most aren't going to do it. In the process; schools indoctrinate our children, and we lose our country. By the way...have your son avoid Jim Boeheim...big-time gun grabber.
My husband graduated from SU undergrad and law school and has several weapons that Boeheim has not grabbed ;). Boeheim needs to concentrate on his basketball team who can’t seem to WIN and were humiliated on Saturday by the faux Catholic G’town Hoyas in front of a crowd of 35K. Yes, i fault Conservatives for not schooling their children in Conservatism, REGARDLESS of where they are educated. The rest of the populace, who cares. But Conservatives need to raise their children knowing the evil of Liberalism. Not everyone has the wherewithal to homeschool full time or to pay for a private Christian education, but EVERYONE can assume their responsibility to make sure they know WHY we are conservative and why liberals are wrong and flat out evil.

well what can we DO about the rest of the populace? i am just suggesting that as Conservatives that we raise our children to know WHY we think the way we do. I know that no matter what liberal my kids are confronted with in school, or at a job, or in life, they are going to know why that person is wrong and why we are right. Conservatives who are passive are whom i am complaining about basically. My kids are rabid conservatives, and it’s because they grew up hearing about it at the dinner table, in the car etc. all their lives. Not just that liberals are wrong but WHY they are wrong. They need to understand the underpinnings of our beliefs.
My husband has an ORANGEMEN hat which he got right under the wire from some bootleg website! LOL! we are waiting with bated breath to hear who the commencement speaker will be next year when my son graduates. Bound to be someone heinous. Biden is ubiquitous having gone to law school there [and graduating in the bottom handful], but Hillary’s large behind had been up there to speak at something last school year.
Screaming, bratty behavior is effective in the short term.
Conservativism is only effective when it is grounded in morality. It is never effective as political compromise.
The conservative movement MUST clean up its act. The current Republican leadership does not have a decidedly conservative foundation.
Parents who kowtow to a bratty child are raising a monster. Conservives need to grow up and demand that these bratty democrats toe the line and accept moral principles as controls over their obstreprous behavior. This starts with an end to abortion-on-demand. Killing children for convenience is the most criminal, barbarous kind of obscenity possible.
The so called liberal commitment to vulgarity must be rigidly controlled. Whether it is their commitment to destroy sexuality, money, politics, the environment or religion, they must be stopped. It is not simply the future of our nation at stake. It is the future of life on this planet.
What has she been doing lately that would give any indication she could become a serious option for conservatives? I haven't been keeping up with her. Do you know?
