And...they CANNOT stand an 'un-eventful' existence. Its a sure-fire clue also.
If there is not enough 'drama' or excitement occuring around them, or in their lives,
they will do what they have to to stir it up or create some themselves.
This I know from personal experience, having had to eject a person 'related by marraige' from my home.
Yeah, chances are there is at least one in your family, AND,
There are 'degrees of sociopathy'...not all are murderers/criminals. Many are just the source of 'low-level' grief & stress that never seems to end.
No matter what relation they are to you, you will never escape their destructive behavior short of eliminating them utterly & completely from your life.

well that’s good, at least i know I’m not one. I hate drama and tension that stirs up crap I have to deal with.

(I can neither confirm or deny that; even if I could, I couldn't - it's classified.)

And...they CANNOT stand an 'un-eventful' existence.Which is almost a funny statement since our own Fed (and many, many times) state and local governments cannot STAND when we as Americans want to simply live un-eventful lives, if not prepared for THEIR "drama"..

spot on - cept you didnt mention the underlying pathology of narcissistic personality disorder - the sociapathy in my opinion stems from that -
My dad is extremely successful, yet completely lacking empathy and introspection for his actions...all stemming from a very specific emotional trauma in his early (adolescent) development, not unlike barrys abandonment both by his father and mother
These people are to be avoided at any cost, as no amount of discussion, reason or counseling will improve any relationship in which they participate

Hubby’s sis is one of those non-murdering sociopaths. We extricated her from our lives about 6 years ago but are still dealing with her crap because of what she did to their father. You are correct, it never seems to end.
