First firearm i dropped the hammer on was a .357 S&W 19. For years i thought i was 9 at the time. My Dad recently corrected me. I was 7.
It was his service pistol for over 20 years until he switched up to an automatic while a Deputy.
He gave it to me after my Son was born and told me i was not allowed to sell it. It’s no save Queen and sees regular range time.
I’d sell a kidney before ever contemplating getting rid of it.
Safe Queen. Damn autocorrect...
I feel the same way about my “19”. It is willed to a son in law with the restriction it stay in the family. It has special meaning to me because I had a great uncle who was Boarder Patrol and worked with Bill Jorden.
