I believe it has more to do with two three things. First off, income tax refunds are later this year, making same day sales from a year ago skewed. Second, of course, is gas prices. The third and biggest reason is lack of jobs. The Obamaconomy sucks.

I e-filed (H&R Block) on Friday the 8th. I had my refunds (State and Federal) direct-deposited by the evening of Thursday the 14th. A record for me, I believe.
