To those who fear that a Constitutional Convention would destroy the RKBA, the present trajectory of government is in fact to do just that. And yet, instead of starting to even talk about the next peaceful option, some are talking about an option that is not peaceful.
Recall that any proposal of a Convention must be ratified by a super-majority of surviving states. A Convention would give us the opportunity to repair may of the defects we presently suffer from.

I put my tinfoil hat on to type this reply.
Let’s just suppose that out of the blue there _was_ a new Constitutional Convention, convened at the bequest of the [mostly] red states.
Could they propose that the existing nation be disbanded, the blue states expelled, and a new nation with new borders constructed from the red and purple states alone?

The same morons who are agitating for gun confiscation are the same ones who would attend any Constitutional Convention. They would codify every marxist, “inclusive,” feel-good fantasy the left has had for the last sixty years.
