I wanted the bastard in jail for 50 years.

He's a LEO. It would be known that he was one, and he'd be dead at the hands of a convict in no time. Also, LEOs don't like having their own in the jails, even if he is a murderous psychopath, because he would know certain inside information that could be used against the detention officers.

As far as Waco, IMR, I thought the very same thing. Difference here, however, is that Dorner was a murderer and a leftist thug. In a way, he deserved to die. Also, he was killed by local law enforcement and not by the Feds. If an armored vehicle drove up and pumped napalm into the cabin knowing full well that there were hostages, we could compare this to Waco.

The Branch Davidians fired on ATF idiots within their legal right to protect their property. No one died in the initial engagement, but the Feds persisted and killed dozens of innocent women and children along with men who were protecting their right to assemble, their right to practice a religion, and their right to protect their property.

The comparisons are fleeting.

IIRC, the Davidians killed four ATF during the first battle.

Try to remember all this when the police are raiding 'terrorist compounds' where 'extremist gun-nuts' are 'barricaded' and 'holding hostages' with 'deadly assault weapons' ...

He's a LEO. It would be known that he was one, and he'd be dead at the hands of a convict in no time.

It's their job to prevent that. Who the heck is running the jail, anyway? The prisoners? (I suspect so, actually ...)

Also, LEOs don't like having their own in the jails,

Tough. That decision is above their pay-grade. If they don't like it, they should find another line of work.

The job of police is to arrest suspects and bring them to trial. If they can't understand that, then again they need to find another line of work.

I hold that the feds were attempting to enforce an unconstitutional ban on certain weapons. Waco, and quite a few other incidents, are an impediment to the government EVER backing down from its unconstitutional grab of rights from the citizens.

“no one died in the initial engagement”

Might want to check you facts.

I was contacted by one of the Waco investigators. I know a few things about Waco others don’t know.

Trust me, Hillary doesn’t want questions about Waco brought back up while she is running for president.

Except for the 4 ATF agents and 6 Branch Davidians.
